Dave Stewart, the multi Grammy Award winning artist, formerly with the Eurythmics wanted to run a singing competition to help promote his performance at the Tower Music Festival in London along with his 30-piece orchestra. The contest invited budding singers to sing their best rendition of the classic hit "There Must Be an Angel". The 3 semi-finalists performed live on TV on the BBC and the winner sang live on stage at the closing of the Festival. They were also flown to Hollywood to record a version of the song.
