Epic Records is part of Sony BMG Music Entertainment. They have run video and photo contests for artists including Modest Mouse, Augustana, Cartel, Sean Kingston, Yung Berg and The Night Watchman. Their main objective in running these promotional contests is to drive awareness of their artists and their upcoming CD releases. Epic really understands the power of engaging their fans and having them contribute their user-generated content in association with their artists.

	The College Marketing Department at Sony BMG Music wanted to run 14 contests, one for each of the song on Modest Mouse's new album, to help promote the launch. Augustana Photo Contest Fans submitted photos of themselves and the band on tour. Sean Kingston "Beautiful Girls" Video Contest Sean Kingston "Me Love" Video Contest Lip-syncing, singing, dancing, animation... Fans submitted a bit of everything in these video contests. Yung Berg "Sexy Lady" Dance Video Contest Dancing competition set to Yung Berg's hit song "Sexy Lady". The Nightwatchman "How Are You Making a Difference" Photo Contest Design a Tour Poster for Sara Bareilles Contest QuietDrive Video Contest Fans were invited to create a video for their single "Time After Time".
